A video has surfaced online featuring social activist VeryDarkMan impersonating Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu. In the video, VeryDarkMan, as Seyi Tinubu, sarcastically defends his family against criticism, particularly his mother, Oluremi Tinubu.
This impersonation comes on the hills of Seyi Tinubu’s defense of his father after the president was called out for being a terrible leader.
The VeryDarkMan video is a response to a recent incident where Oluremi Tinubu was embarrassed by students during a visit to a nursing school in Delta State. The students had refused to acknowledge her as “their mother” during a call-and-response song, sparking heated reactions online.
In the video, VeryDarkMan, as Seyi Tinubu, says, “It’s not about politics, they keep coming for her like they came for her husband… The first lady is our mother of every society, but here they are, they are coming for her and coming for our family.”
He also jokingly suggests that the presidential family will start sharing beans instead of rice, saying, “I know you guys have to look for your stew and your meat, but she is doing enough.”
The video has been making the rounds on social media, with many finding it entertaining and others seeing it as a commentary on the current state of Nigerian politics.
