The screening of Ambassadorial nominees who were to represent Nigeria in service was ongoing on the 26th of July 2016 when it was reported that 2 of the nominees had failed to recite the national anthem and pledge satisfactorily.
The nominees; Ibrahim Isa from Niger state and Vivian Nwunaku Okeke from Anambra state mixed up the National Anthem and pledge when the chairman of the senate committee on Foreign Affairs, Monsurat Sunmonu asked them to recite it and a member of the committee. Senator James Manager, saved them from the embarrassing moment by correcting them immediately.
They were bailed out by Senator James Manager who corrected them immediately.
