Voting has been stretched beyond 2pm in some polling units, in Ile Ife, Osun State, despite the directive by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC),that voting should end, unless the voters were on the queue.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that voting continued at Saint Gabriel Primary Schools, Moore Ward 01 unit 4 in Ile-Ife, even by 2:30pm.
An APC party agent, Mrs Oladunloye Agnes, at the polling unit said the large turnout of the voters was the reason voting was stretched beyond the deadline.
She said the election has been peaceful, as card readers is working effectively.
She lauded the electorate for their peaceful cooperation with INEC officials, the Police and other security agents. (NAN)
