Wizkid revealed why he boycotted the BET awards where he won best International act, saying that he would not go for such shows until they start to show Africans the same love that they show to International artistes.
Wizkid speaking from Uganda where he went for a show, said this in response to a question by a journalist who asked about the BET awards and their practise of giving artistes their awards backstage.
In response, Wizkid answered; “That’s why i don’t go for those shows.
“I don’t take nonsense from anyone that tries to look down on Africans or African entertainment.
“If you’re not going to show us the same love you show international artistes on stage don’t show us no love.
“We don’t want it, we have our people’s support and we’re content with that”
