(Video): Sunday Igboho Denies Mocking Pastor Adeboye Over Son’s Death

Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has denied mocking the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye over his son’s death.

He said this in a video currently circulating on social media.

In the current video, he addressed alleged misconceptions in a previous video in which he could be heard laying curses on prominent Yoruba sons and daughters sabotaging or withholding support from the Yoruba secessionist movement he is spearheading.

In the previous video, Igboho lamented that Adeboye did not use the opportunity of his wide reach to support the Yoruba cause and condemn the alleged activities of violent Fulani herdsmen in the South-West geopolitical zone.

He said he was therefore not inclined to condole with the cleric over the death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.

But in the current video, he said his comment was not directed at Adeboye per se but at prominent Yoruba personalities that refuse to identify with the suffering of their people despite their influence.

“How could they be so powerful yet look on as we suffer so much thinking that we’re acting?” Igboho queried. “They should pity us.”

“I did not insult Baba Adeboye. I am a Christian and we’re all children of God.

“God owns us: he knows when we came to the earth and when it’s time to leave.

“Anyone mocking the dead or their relatives will die one day too.”
