A Nigerian footballer, Chikelu Ofoedu has confronted a soldier identified simply as Nasiru for slapping him over a disagreement.
A video of Ofoedu, who is a Maccabi Tel Aviv striker, confronting the soldier is currently trending on social media.
The Herald could not immediately confirm the date or location of the incident.
But in the 2.20-minute video shared by one Edeh Alexi on Twitter, the footballer can be seen approaching the soldier’s parked car why repeatedly asking why the army personnel slapped him.
An infuriated Nasiru then pulls out a cutlass and alights from his car to confront his challenger, who subtly clamps his hands behind him to show he is not trying to fight the soldier.
However, Ofoedu continues to question the soldier over the slap.
The soldier can be heard repeatedly insulting the footballer for questioning him.
He then goes to the side and makes a show of making a call, as if to call for back-up while the footballer dares him to call whoever he wants to.
