A popular Lagos politician, Otunba Segun Adewale aka Aeroland has been accused of slapping a journalist with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The incident occurred at Pleasure bus stop along the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway during Saturday’s Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections in Lagos State.
Aeroland, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) politician, slapped the female reporter moments after warning her not to record him, a video shared by the BBC Pidgin English Service on Twitter showed.

According to a caption attached to the video, the politician was said to be engaging in vote buying, allegedly sharing N1,000 notes, when the journalist beamed her searchlight on him.
