Video of George Floyd speaking against gun violence takes social media by storm

2 Min Read

More facts have continued to emerge about George Floyd, the Minneapolis man who died on Monday after a police officer knelt on his neck.

The four officers involved in the incident have now been sacked, while the victim’s family and rights groups continue to push for them to be charged with murder.

In a new video that has taken social media by storm, Floyd can be seen advocating against gun violence.

The video emerged as Minneapolis residents took to the streets to call for the officers’ arrest.

‘It’s clearly the generation after us that’s so lost, man,’ the 46-year-old man can heard saying.

‘Our young are clearly lost, man, clearly lost, man.

‘I don’t even know what to say anymore. You youngsters just going around busting guns in crowds, kids getting killed.’

He condemns adults encouraging gun violence, saying ‘Man, I knew it was crazy then a n**** my age saying it and condoning this shit, bro.’

‘You know what I’m saying, and half them young n****s shooting guns go home and their knees shaking at night, but they don’t show it to nobody because they aren’t tough then.

‘Come on, come on home, man,’ Floyd adds.

‘It’s going to be you and God. You’re going up or you’re going down.’
