The president general of Ogoni Youth Federation Worldwide, Engr. Legbosi Yamaabana has cautioned those distracting Governor Siminalayi Fubara from accomplishing his mandate.
The Herald reports that Ogoni and Ijaw youths are concerned that some politicians intended to throw Rivers into disarray by distracting Fubara, according to Fekorigha, who made this revelation during a joint protest held in rivers today, warned that “we are here in solidarity to jointly say that we are standing by the Governor, we are here to ensure no distractor is allowed to distract Mr. Governor from accomplishing his promises for the masses.
The group also demands the seats of the 27 state lawmakers who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) declared vacant, further claimed that they will not allow political players who do not have the best interests of Rivers and its people at heart to end the state’s current state of peace, which Governor Fubara has maintained.
