The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, today embarked on the much anticipated and planned strike after the meeting it held with the federal government last night failed to yield profitable outcome.
Recall that the NLC had threatened a Nationwide strike last week which it scheduled to start today should the government fail to revert the increment in the fuel pump price.
The Vice President of the NLC, Amaechi Asugbuni today in an interview with Channels TV explained the reasons why the NLC must embark on the planned strike..
He however pointed the removal of subsidy and improper application of the democratic due process as reasons for the action.
