Footage has emerged of the moment gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN) abducted and whisked away some bus passengers in Enugu State today.
The amateur video was shared on a Facebook page, Undiluted Truth, which has more than 10,000 followers, today.
According to a caption attached to the video, the incident occurred at Nkwo Inyi market.
The Herald can report that states in the South East geopolitical zone have been witnessing a sit-at-home every Monday.
In the video, the commuters can be heard noisily appealing to the gunmen to free them.
The attackers, who came on motorcycles, can be seen forcing the commuters to lie on the ground.
At a point, the gunmen release some shots into the air in what appears to be a move to force obedience.
The video rounds off with the gunmen driving the bus away with the commuters inside.
