VIDEO: Man shoots 19-year-old girlfriend dead, flees

Footage has emerged of the moment a former lover shot a 19-year-old nursing student in the back of the head.

Closed-circuit Television (CCTV) footage of the shooting, which occurred in São Paulo, Brazil on Thursday night, shows the victim, Juliana Fernandes, walking up to her father’s car.

The gunman, whose name has not been released by authorities, can also be seen running behind before catching up with her as she makes to step into the vehicle.

The gunman releases a volley of shots, one of which hits Juliana on the head and another in the back.

The gunman immediately flees the scene, as the victim falls to the ground.

Reports say that the nursing student of Tableau College had just finished her classes for the day when the incident occurred.

She was said to have dated the suspect for a year before ending the relationship.

Dailymail reported that the victim’s 76-year-old father gave first aid before paramedics arrived and declared her dead on the scene.

“She was murdered in front of my father, she died there at my father’s feet without being able to do anything.

“My father had to see his daughter’s life taken for no reason,” the victim’s brother, Renan told a local media outlet, G1.

The Pindamonhanga Civil Police is investigating the killing, although no arrest has been made as of Friday.
