A 26-year-old-man, Philip Grigoryev, has been held by police for pushing his murdered girlfriend’s body around a St. Petersburg neighbourhood.
He is being held on suspicion of strangling 24-year-old Arina following a nighttime argument at their apartment in Oranzhevaya Street, Yanino.
The suspect allegedly beat his girlfriend to death, then went to get a wheelbarrow and loaded her body into it, covered in boards.
He was caught on CCTV.

Law enforcement said Grigoryev pushed the wheelbarrow for an hour around the suburb before going into an apartment block on Gollanskaya Street, and using a lift to reach the 12th floor where he dumped the corpse, Daily Mail reported.

The distance between the suspect’s residence and the Gollanskaya Street apartment was said to be around 1,500 ft.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, Grigoryev has been detained and charged with murder.
A committee report showed that he was drunk before he beat and strangled Arina.
The stage-fitter had not been able to find any work due to novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Before the onset of COVID-19, he worked for stadium concerts of Russian and also Western music bands in St. Petersburg.
