In a video that has been making the rounds over the past day, a Chicago man apparently froze to death while waiting for a train ride home.
The unidentified man was said to have been returning from a New Year’s day party and with the weather at a ridiculous -10 degrees, he waited for his train, but died before it arrived.
This is hardly surprising as the weather in Chicago over the last couple of days has been at a record low.
According to the National Weather Service, the Chicago area saw its lowest-recorded high temperature on a New Year’s Day – ever. The city’s low maximum temperature was set at 1 degree at O’Hare Airport Monday. The previous record was five degrees above zero, which occurred in 1969.
The man was found the next morning frozen solid and a video was taken.
