Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has lost his cool with a journalist who asked what the controversial minister deemed “a stupid question”.
The incident occurred during a press conference where Fani-Kayode spoke about his recent tour of some states of the country.
In a video of the incident circulating on social media, the ex-minister can be heard scolding the journalist for daring to suggest that he was being paid to launder the image of the governors whose states he visited.
Although not shown in the video, The Herald gathered that the journalist asked who was bankrolling the ex-minister’s PR campaign for the states.
But an incensed Fani-Kayode quickly fired back, “What type of stupid question is that?
“Bankrolling who?
“Do you know who you’re talking to?
“I’ll not take any questions from this man.
“What type of insulting question is that?
“Which bankroll? To do what?
“Who can give me money for anything?
“Who do you think you’re talking to?
“Bankroll what? Please don’t insult me here.
“Go and report yourself to your editor.”
The journalist, who was standing and apologising to the ex-minister, goes ahead to sit.
But Fani-Kayode was not about to let him off the hook.
The ex-minister adds, “I could see from your face before you got here how stupid you are.
“Don’t ever talk to me like that.
“Bankroll who?
“You think I’m one of those ones you’ll be…
“You have a small mind, very small mind.
“Don’t judge me by your own standards.
“I’ve been in politics since 1990…”
