Arguably Nigeria’s most in-demand music video director, TG Omori, has explained the circumstances surrounding a video in which he appeared to snub some boys who asked him for money.
The video, which has been in circulation online for a while, resurfaced on Twitter on Monday evening, drawing varying reactions from tweeps.
In the video sighted by The Herald, the street urchins can be heard hailing the video director and asking him to give them some money.
TG Omori, who is in the backseat of a car, offers a N1,000 note to them.
However, the boys appear to reject the money, suggesting it was too small, which caused the music video director to withdraw the offer and instruct the driver to zoom off.

Reacting to the video, TG Omori said that he had gone to visit his father when the incident occurred.
He further explained that he had no cash on him when he ran into the boys and he told them so.
The music video director said he had to ask the driver if he had spare cash and the driver gave him the N1,000 to give to the boys.
He said he was surprised when the boys rejected the offer.
