It might have taken 4 games, but Cristiano Ronaldo has finally opened his Juventus account with two goals against Sassuolo.
Many had started to fear that the Portuguese captain might find life hard at Juventus after firing blanks for the first 3 games, but he has now silenced critics with his first goal in Juventus colours.
The former Madrid man struck twice against Sassuolo to show that he’s still got it
The first came from a corner, Sassuolo struggled to deal with the cross into the box and Ronaldo pounced to put it past the keeper to take Juventus up one goal.
The second goal came from a breakaway from the Italian Champions’ half, Emre Can threaded a delightful ball into the path of the former Madrid man who simply slotted it into the net with his left foot.

Twitter has exploded following the pair of goals with many commenting that the forward was back to his indomitable best.
Gary Lineker took to his Twitter to hail the forward: “When I said @Cristiano’s goal was the first of many, I didn’t necessarily mean in this game, but he’s just bagged another. A prolific, prodigious professional.”

Just like when you stick the knife in a ketchup bottle and it all suddenly comes out, Ronaldo has a brace in the last 15 minutes.
