The controversy surrounding the rumoured cloning of President Muhammadu Buhari has been featured on Trevor Noah’s, The Daily Show.
The Daily Show is an American late-night talk and news satire television programme. It airs each Monday through Thursday on Comedy Central. Describing itself as a fake news programme, The Daily Show draws its comedy and satire from recent news stories, political figures, media organizations, and often uses self-referential humor as well.
According to a clip of the show circulating on social media, Noah and a co-host turned the cloning affair into a butt of jokes, even going ahead to equate it with the email scams purportedly perpetrated by Nigerians.
The co-host went ahead to mockingly mimic a Nigerian accent while appearing to solicit for funds using the cloning matter as subject matter of an imaginary scam email.
