Afrobeats singer, Victony, has dismissed claims that his debut album “Stubborn” was not commercially successful due to a lack of “haters” to generate negative buzz on social media. Victony responded to the criticism on his social media handle, calling the assumption “dumb” and stating that he’s not in a rush to achieve the same level of stardom as his colleagues, Rema and Asake.

Victony expressed his thoughts on the matter, writing, “Lmao, Victony need more haters gotta be the dumbest shit I seen cos what’s the rush? Everyone wanna be Rema and Asake in 2 hours?”

The singer’s comments come after some social media users suggested that his album’s success was hindered by a lack of negative attention.
