Viagra Cures COVID-19 Patient

2 Min Read

Monica Almeida, a British nurse, has reportedly recovered from COVID-19 induced coma after being given a large dose of viagra.

Viagra is a drug that’s approved to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).

The Lincolnite reported that the fully vaccinated nurse was in a coma for 28 days and was 72 hours away from having her ventilator turned off when the miracle drug was administered to her.

The 37-year-old Almeida, who is asthmatic, worked as a respiratory specialist for the UK’s National Health Service in Lincolnshire.

She contracted the virus on October 31, 2021, and lost her sense of taste and smell four days after.

The news outlet said that she began coughing up blood and soon experienced a drop in oxygen levels.

She was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Lincoln County Hospital, where she had started her career, and placed in a medically induced coma a week later.

Just before being placed in coma, the report stated, Almeida signed a document saying she was willing to take part in a study to try experimental drugs.

She got administered viagra a week after being placed in a coma and she was able to open her eyes.

“It was definitely the Viagra that saved me. Within 48 hours it opened up my airwaves and my lungs started to respond.

“If you think how the drug works, it expands your blood vessels. I have asthma and my air sacs needed a little help,” she told The Sun.
