Nigerian actress Yetunde Wunmi revealed that her passion for acting led to the end of her marriage. In an interview with BBC Yoruba, the 64-year-old reflected on her nearly four-decade-long career in the entertainment industry.

Yetunde Wunmi began as a stage performer in 1982 under Sunday Akinola’s ‘Feyi Kogbon’ theatre group. She credited her interest in theatre to a chance encounter with actor Adelove, who inspired her to pursue a career in the arts.

“I lost my marriage due to my love for theatre, but I’ve never regretted being an actress,” she said. “God has been gracious to me.”
