Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, has responded to criticism over her involvement in the Lekki Wives reality show, with a strong message to her colleagues.
An X user had mocked her involvement in the show, stating that there are specific projects that the thespian should outgrow. However, Rita Dominic fired back, emphasizing the importance of artistic integrity and encouraging her colleagues to embrace any platform that allows them to express their creativity.
According to the movie star, actors should not limit themselves and should continue to hone their skills regardless of negative comments.
Rita Dominic wrote, “Dear Actors, only people who have no single drop of artistic integrity speak like this. If you listen to them, you will soon begin to believe you are more important than the industry that birthed you.”
She added, “You are an ACTOR, so make sure to find a way or platform to release the creative energy in you. Continue to hone your skills regardless of empty comments like this cos knowledge is never-ending – yours truly, Rita.”
