Truecaller is an online business and engagement platform that helps users hire local professionals for all service needs. And last year, the company and VConnect launched the Truecaller Priority in Nigeria, which enables businesses to quickly identify if a call is a potential prospect.
Industry players on Friday said many users searching for businesses on VConnect.com usually called the numbers mentioned in their profile.
Naveen Luthra the Director, Growth and Partnerships at VConnect, stated, “These numbers, which are routed through VConnect intermediate numbers, are marked as ‘Priority’ in the Truecaller app.
“This step of integrating our business listings on Truecaller platform will further empower Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Nigeria to get more visibility and new customers.
“This partnership deepens the relationships between the two organisations and will bring about digital inclusion of small businesses here.”
Luthra added that the company would be setting up its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya and had recruited Zakaria Hersi as Director of Partnerships for Africa.
