The Red Devil’s boss, Louis van Gaal, has admitted that he is not meeting the expectation of fans at the club.
United lost 1-0 toSouthampton on Saturday and Van Gaal was targeted by a section of the supporters after the final whistle at Old Trafford.
United currently occupy fifth place in the Premier league, five points off Tottenham Hotspur, who occupy the last Champions League spot.
With 15 games left, pressure is beginning to mount on Van Gaal, with former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho being linked with the job.
“I’m very disappointed that I cannot reach the expectations of the fans,” Van Gaal said.
“They have, or had, great expectations of me, and I cannot fulfill them, so I am very frustrated because of that.”
