Phil Neville has been confirmed as the new Valencia assistant manager.
The former Manchester United player and head coach joins the La Liga side after Ian Cathro, who previously was in the role, resigned to join Steve McClaren’s backroom staff at Newcastle.
Having worked at Old Trafford with former manager, David Moyes, Neville turned down an offer to help coach Real Sociedad, now managed by Moyes, but admitted to having an interest in working abroad.
And now he has decided to join up with Valencia and assist Nuno Espirito Santo at the Mestalla.
