Newly-inaugurated Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodinma has made his first set of appointments.
The appointments were announced on Thursday, a day after his inauguration by the Imo Chief Judge, Justice Pascal Nnadi.
Uzodinma appointed Chief Cosmas Iwu as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister C.O.C Akaolisa as the Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice.
The governor equally appointed Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie as Chief of Staff and Oguike Nwachukwu as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS).
Recall that a seven-man panel of justices of the Supreme Court on Tuesday declared the APC cnadidate the winner of the March 9, 2019 polls in Imo and sacked Governor Emeka Ihedioha.
In a lead judgement read by Justice Kudirat Kereke-Ekun, the apex court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Ihedioha and issue Uzodinma a fresh one.
The newly-inaugurated governor in his inaugural speech on Wednesday vowed to probe his predecessors from May 2010.
