Uwazuruike Hosts Ango Abdullahi, Begs Him To Stop Bloodshed In The North

Founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has hosted appealed to convener of the Northern Elders Council, Prof. Ango Abdullahi to help end bloodshed in Northern Nigeria.

Uwazuruike, who also founded the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM), made the appeal on Tuesday when he hosted Abdullahi in his Owerri, Imo State residence.

The Biafran leader lamented the ongoing “senseless killings” in the north and blamed “sadists” for it.

He said, “There is no doubt that a lot of senseless bloodshed is still going on periodically in the North today. Only sadists and possibly, the perpetrators of the damnable  act will be happy to kill, maim and destroy precious human lives with reckless abandon.”

Disclosing why he took to agitation for Biafran independence, Uwazuruike said he decided to toe that line as he could no longer stand continued killing of Igbos and looting of their property without justifiable cause across the country.

“I must explain that why I started the agitation for Biafra was because the lives and properties of our people were not and are still not safe in the North. Lives are wasted as if it no longer has value.

“What matters to me, as always, is the safety of life and property of Ndigbo.”

He appealed to Abdullahi, a former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello Univeristy, Zaria, to use his influence to “help stop the bloodshed in parts of Northern States”.
