Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt has agreed on a deal to play for an unnamed football club. Bolt revealed this on Sunday.
“I’ve just signed for a football team,” he said in a video he posted on Twitter. “Find out who it is on Tuesday, 27th February,” he added.
The world and Olympic champion is a lifelong fan of Manchester United and has expressed his desire to play for the club.
Bolt announced in January that he was going to be on trial at Dortmund but it is not clear if he has signed for the team.
“In March we’re going to do a trial with Dortmund and that will determine what I do with that career, which way it goes,” the 31-year-old world record holder told the Sunday Express.
“If they say I’m good, and that I need a bit of training, I’ll do it.
“It makes me nervous. I don’t get nervous but this is different, this is football now. It’ll take time to adjust but once I play a few times I’ll get used to it.”
