Olympic champion, Usain Bolt, has confirmed that he will compete at this month’s Anniversary Games in London.
The 28-year-old has struggled with a number of injury problems in the past year and he pulled out of several of events, including the recent Diamond League meetings in Paris and Lausanne.
However, he will run at the Anniversary Games, which will be held at the Olympic Stadium from July 24 to 26.
“I have great memories of competing in the Olympic Stadium in the summer of 2012 and in the previous Grand Prix meets in London,” Bolt is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
“The British fans are always great and I expect there will also be a lot of Jamaican fans. It will be amazing to put on another show for them on the Friday night.”
Bolt claimed gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay at the Olympic Stadium during London 2012.
