The First Lady of the Nation, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has stated that the funds for her trip to the United states of America were privately funded and weren’t from official sources.
The First Lady, who is in the United states on a trip to hold talks with various organizations, has said that she was only around in a supporting capacity.
She said this in an interview on the Hausa Service of the Voice of America (VOA) monitored in Abuja, yesterday. She said that her job there was to source international support for the suffering women and children in the North East.
She said “We have come to the U.S. to hold discussions with some private organisations, whose main objectives are to render aid to vulnerable people, confirming that she had met with organisations that were known for promoting peace and provision of aid to displaced children.”
