The 45th United State President, Donald Trump’s administration has suffered yet another setback as the White House communications director, Mike Dubke turned in his resignation letter.
The resignation of the communications director comes three months after he was appointed into the office.
Mike Dubke was reported to have stepped down from the public office a day before the President embarked on his first foreign trip.
Dubke who opted to keep his resignation, submitted on May 18, 2017, from the public until today was said to have reported at the White House everyday since his resignation as his official leave date has not been set.
Kellyanne Conway also confirmed the resignation of the communications director during an interview with Fox where she said: “What I will say is that he has expressed his desire to leave the White House and made very clear that he would see through the President’s international trip.”
Dubke who offered to retain his position till the president completed his firts international travel said while speaking to CNN: “It has been a privilege to serve this president”.
He further disclosed that he had a good conversation with Trump after submitting his resignation stating that his resignation was for personal reasons.
