US Ambassador to France Debunks Atlantic Story on Trump’s US Military Remarks

3 Min Read

The US Ambassador to France and Monaco Jamie McCourt has debunked the report by Atlantic Magazine which accused President Trump of making disparaging remarks about the US military.

According to the Ambassador, President Trump has never said any disparaging thing regarding members of the US Military and the Atlantic story was simply untrue.

The Ambassador stated that she was there when the decision to call off a visit to the military cemetery at Belleau Wood because of bad weather. she said while she was there, President Trump did not say anything disparaging against US Troops and he felt terrible that he wasn’t able to make it down.

She stated further that this was the major reason why Trump still insisted on speaking at a military ceremony in Suresnes the next day in the pouring rain.

Needless to say, I never spoke to the Atlantic, and I can’t imagine who would.

In my presence, POTUS has NEVER denigrated any member of the US military or anyone in service to our country. And he certainly did not that day, either.

Let me add, he was devastated to not be able to go to the cemetery at Belleau Wood. In fact, the next day, he attended and spoke at the ceremony in Suresnes in the pouring rain.”

the Ambassador said in an interview with Breitbart News.

Ambassador Jamie McCourt becomes the latest official who was actually present at the ceremony to debunk the Atlantic Story which the latter says is based on Anonymous sources.

This is in addition to deputy chief of staff at the White House Zach Fuentes also denying the story, saying it never happened.

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton also denied the story including former White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Senior Adviser, Stephen Miller, Secretary of State, Mike Pomoeo and first lady, Melania Trump.

Everyone who was at the event and should have confirmed the Atlantic Story about Trump denigrating the US Military have all come out to say it never happened.

Trump’s campaign for the White house has been centered around Law and Order and support for America’s security agencies including the police and the military.

The Atlantic Story may be an election ploy to divide the base of the Republican President before the November 3 polls.
