The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Godwin Obaseki as the winner in Orhionmwon Local Government Area.
Orhionmwon is the local government where Obaseki’s main challenger and All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu hails from.
According to the figures declared by INEC, APC secured 10,458 votes against the PDP’s tally of 13,445.
This is just as Obaseki’s running mate, Philip Shaibu lost his local government, Etsako West, to the APC.
In Etsako West, where former APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole hails from, APC polled 26,140 votes against the 17,959 votes secured by the PDP.
