A man who had in his possession the phone of slain fast rising singer, Damilola Olaniyan a.k.a Damino Damoche has been arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command.
The suspect happened to be a security guard in the institution where Damoche was killed.
Police sources say, few days after Damoche was killed, the security guard took the phone to Ojo Police Division where he told policemen that the phone was given to him by a student.
Spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, who confirmed the arrest, said the guard was currently been interrogated.
“After he (Damoche) was killed, his phone was missing. Later on, a security guard at the school brought the phone to the police, saying it was given to him by a student. He was however unable to disclose the identity of the said student which is crucial to investigation,” she said.
