Update: Amaechi explains why APC aligned with AAC in Rivers

2 Min Read

Following the news that the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State has decided to support the AAC governorship aspirant in the state during the upcoming gubernatorial elections, the party has now given its reasons for the move.

During a meeting with members of the party, the leader of APC in Rivers, Rotimi Amaechi, explained that the decision was made because the African Action Congress is equally in the struggle to give the people of Rivers their much-needed justice.

Amaechi also mentioned that the election was only a few days away, so it was paramount that they all go out to vote massively for AAC’s candidate during the election.

Update: Amaechi explains why APC aligned with AAC in Rivers

He stated, “This morning, the leadership of the party met and agreed that we would work with a party called the African Action Congress, while we are still in court to reclaim our mandate.

“So, on Saturday, we will vote for the AAC. You must go home and vote for the AAC. There should be no excuse not to vote because there will be security for everybody. You must prepare and make sure you win the governorship election.”

He further stressed that if the supporters vote for the AAC candidate and he emerges as the next governor of the state, the party stands to gain a lot from his government.

Amaechi continued, “The moment you win the governorship election this Saturday and the governor is inaugurated in May, by June, there will be local government elections. So, you should all go out and vote and make sure that you are not rigged out.
