It is no longer news that Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe has died in a helicopter crash in the United States.
However, it has emerged that his wife and two children were also onboard and died in the crash.
The Herald learnt that the helicopter, a Eurocopter EC 130, had been carrying six people onboard when it departed California en route to Las Vegas in Nevada.
The chopper was registered to a tour company called Orbic Air, NBC reported.
The chopper tragically crashed near San Bernardino County, a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night.
It was the second of such crash in a week in California, America’s most populous state.
A chopper carrying five US Marines crashed also during a routine training flight in Pine Valley on Thursday.
