The Nigerian Senate has extended the validity of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB result.
The Nigerian senate extended the validity of the result from one year to three years.
The bill was passed on Thursday to extend the lifespan of the admission result.
Presenting the report of the committee on the amendment bill, Senator Jibrin Barau, chairman, senate committee on tertiary education and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) noted that the new bill will bring financial relief to students and strengthen the admission board in delivering its responsibilities.
