Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, has denied reports that he and the management of the Institution are under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The denial came in response to published stories by some news outlets claiming the anti-graft agency was investigating the institution’s VC.
The reports also claimed that Ambali was walked out during his first defence of the institution’s 2016 budget by members of the House of Representatives Committee on Education.
Ambali, while speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, denied all the rumours adding that his budget presentation before the House of Representatives Committee was well received.
