There have been reports to the contrary on online mediums which state that the University of Lagos Student Union (ULSU) had been suspended with reactions on this generally negative.
But the General Secretary of the union, Emmanuel Afolabi has come out to say in a statement that no such news has been conveyed to them.
“We are still intact and we are still in the struggle,” he said
He claimed that the suspension of the union on the school website was illegal as they were not elected by the school management. He revealed that the only thing that had been done so far was to lock their offices.
“On this note, we are stating categorically that ULSU is still ULSU. No ULSU executive or principal officer was elected via the school website and we can never accept a suspension via that means,”
