Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has said that the sack of Chief Victor Umeh as Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance was proof of the divine mandate given to him by the people of Imo.
Umeh was sacked by a Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.
“You will recall that few days ago, APGA threatened to go to court to recover their mandate from me and suddenly their chairman was sacked. How best can you describe my mandate; for me, that is democracy in action,” Okorocha said.
Speaking on the upcoming elections in Osun and Ekiti, Okorocha said, “The election in Osun and Ekiti would not be the same as that of Anambra, even though we know that the election would be cancelled. INEC itself confirmed it, so I want to assure Nigerians that the institution that rigged the election would not have the opportunity again.”
