Italian giants, Juventus have advanced to the quarter finals of the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions League after edging out Tottenham Hotspur.
The first leg of the pulsating encounter in Turin had ended 2-2 after Mauricio Pochettino’s side upturned a two-goal deficit to draw.
However, Maximiliano Allegri’s side’s experience in the UCL proved enough to advance past the hard-fighting Spurs.
In the second leg at Wembley Stadium, Son Heung-min had put Tottenham 3-2 up on aggregate, but Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala’s second half strikes stunned the Premier League club.
Despite talismanic forward, Harry Kane clattering the post in stoppage time, Spurs exited Europe.
Meanwhile Manchester City fell to a 1-2 defeat by Basel as Guardiola fielded a weakened team which lacked Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Ederson Moraes, Nicolas Otamendi and Kyle Walker.
The victory was however not enough for Basel as they had fallen to a 4-0 bashing two weeks ago.
City qualified for the quarter finals for the second time in their history on a 5-2 aggregate victory, joining Juventus, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
