Ubi Franklin Clears the Air on His Role in Davido’s Team

2 Min Read

Music executive and CEO of Made Men Music Group, Ubi Franklin, has addressed misconceptions about his position within Davido’s DMW team. The entertainment personality took to social media to clarify his role after a comment suggested his transition from running a successful record label to working as Davido’s wife, Chioma’s personal assistant, was “interesting.”

The comment, posted by a user on X (formerly Twitter), questioned how Ubi went from managing a thriving record label to becoming part of the DMW family. In response, Ubi set the record straight, emphasizing that he is not a personal assistant or nanny, as some had speculated. Instead, he stated that his role is that of a business administrator for the team, a position he takes pride in.

“I am the Business Administrator for DMW, and Davido calls me ‘The Solutionist,'” Ubi explained. “Davido is Africa’s biggest artist and the owner of DMW. His brand is one anyone would be eager to work for. From the inside, he is more influential than many governors, though he doesn’t have a government budget.”

Ubi went on to highlight his qualifications and experience, which he believes make him well-suited for his current role. He also expressed frustration with the taunts and jokes about his involvement in the team, making it clear that he is focused on the business side of things, not any personal assistant duties.

“Let me state this clearly,” Ubi continued, “I’m not his PA or nanny, as some of you have tried to label me. If that makes you happy, so be it. But I am here to do the job I am qualified for, and that’s what I’ll keep doing.”
