The United Arab Emirates have fined and ordered the deportation a woman for accessing her Husband’s Phone to see if he was cheating on her.
She was worried that he was cheating on her and therefore accessed his phone and transferred some pictures to her device.
Her jealousy came at a cost though as the husband found out and lodged a complaint with the criminal court in the emirate of Amman who then went on to fine the woman 150,000 dirhams ($40,843).
According to the Gulf news, the woman was prosecuted under the cybercrime law that penalizes “the invasion of privacy of another person” using information technology.
The lawyer of the woman stated that she admitted to accessing her Husband’s phone in fears that he was having an affair.
No further information was given about the couple.
