South African songstress Tyla, whose real name is Tyla Laura Seethal, has put an end to speculations regarding her relationship with Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Rema. In a recent episode of the “We Need To Talk” podcast, the “Water” hitmaker debunked the dating rumors, affirming that Rema is simply a “friend.”
Tyla clarified that the spark of these dating rumors was ignited by a viral photo capturing them holding hands, a moment that transpired after her attendance at one of Rema’s electrifying concerts. “Rema and I are just friends,” Tyla asserted. She further explained, “I went to his show, and he happened to hold my hand. And obviously, people will always interpret it the way they do.”
In the podcast episode, Tyla made it abundantly clear, emphasizing, “He is not my boyfriend. He’s not my man.”
This statement comes after Tyla recently mentioned Rema in an interview with Apple Music, expressing her desire to have the Nigerian superstar as her date for a prom.
