State coordinator of the foundation, Miss Funmi Ajala while launching the project said its aim is to reach people living in rural communities.
She said “The project will help health workers to utilise motorcycles to deliver healthcare to people in rural areas and also people in urban areas who ordinarily have little access to health care.”
She estimated that the efforts of the health workers are expected to lead to an increase in access to healthcare by some 42, 000 persons in an area of about 3, 400km.
She added that the Riders will make regular visits to Wukari and Takum LGAs so as to bring quality healthcare delivery closer to the people.
