Two new books will be released in October during the ‘History of Magic’ exhibition, Bloomsbury, publishers of Harry Potter, have announced.
The planned release of the books will be in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the first ever edition of the book, Harry and Philosopher’s Stone, which launched the successful franchise that includes nine films, multiple books, and a theatre production, TheCable.ng reports.
According to the publisher’s business statement, obtained by Business Insider, “Harry Potter: A History of Magic – The Book of The Exhibition will be packed with unseen sketches and manuscript pages from J.K. Rowling, magical illustrations from Jim Kay and weird, wonderful and inspiring artifacts that have been magically released from the archives at the British Library.
“While [Harry Potter: A Journey Through A History of Magic] promises to take readers on a fascinating journey through the subjects studied at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry – from Alchemy and Potions classes through to Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures.”
The two books will be a part of the British Library’s Harry Potter exhibition which will open its doors on October 20.
The exhibition, which will run until February 2018, will explore the entirety of the history of magic and the subjects studied.
