Two artworks of Lionel Messi have raised over one million Dollars for a UNICEF charity campaign tagged ‘1 in 11’.
The first artwork of the Barca star by British artist, Damien Hirst in which Messi is seen in the middle of several footballs, went for $556,000 at an auction in London.
The second one by Japan’s Takashi Murakami where he is seen striking a kick of a ball, went for $483,000.
The money will go to a UNICEF backed campaign called, ‘1 in 11’ which looks to provide education to children around the world.
