Twitter CEO Dick Costolo recently announced that a new feature that lets users download their tweet archives, have been made available to a select group of Twitter users.
Costolo announced intentions for the feature during a keynote conversation at the Online News Association conference.
The selected Twitter users have been given the option to request their archives via a button on the settings page.
Below a button that says “Request your archive,” a note reads: “You can request a file containing your information, starting with your first Tweet. A link will be emailed to you when the file is ready to be downloaded.”
Costolo added that it was a priority for Twitter to launch this feature by the end of the year.
Google and Facebook also offer a feature to let users download their archives.
