Yesterday a bill that would end discrimination against women in all facets of their lives like jobs, ownership of land and property, inheritance and so on was rejected by the Senate.
The three major culprits were:
Senator Ahmad Rufai Sani Yerima former governor of Zamfara state and the first man to enforce Sharia in Nigeria, Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero former governor of Kebbi state and PDP member and finally Senator Emmanuel Bwacha two time senator representing Taraba state.
The reaction on Social media, especially twitter has been swift and vicious. They are clearly unhappy that the bill did not pass, you can see some reactions below:
