Twin brothers were arrested on New Year’s Eve after they fought over whose turn it was to have sex with the girlfriend they shared, police said Thursday.
Aric Ryan Hale and Sean Peter Hale, both 28, have an open dating relationship with a 27-year-old woman, according to police.
She told police she is sexually intimate with each brother, “depending on who she chooses to be with that particular day,” police spokesman Capt. Christopher Davis said.
The three were in a local hotel when Sean Hale asked his brother to leave the room so and he and the woman could have sex, Davis said. Aric Hale refused and the two started swinging punches at each other and trashing the room, Davis said.
Police arrested the brothers later at an Ellington residence. Aric Hale was charged with two counts each of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct and one count of third-degree criminal mischief. Sean Hale was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of third-degree criminal mischief.
The brothers each posted bail of $10,000 and both are slated to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Feb. 7.
